- Height between shelves
- Gap beside the fridge or cooker
- Inside of cupboard doors (for door racks)
2. Clear out
- Empty one cupboard at a time
- Bin anything out of date
- Donate duplicates and gadgets you don't use
- Keep only what you'd buy again
3. Group by use
- Tea and coffee together
- Baking together
- Tins and jars together
- Cleaning under the sink
- Everyday items at arm height
4. Use the height
- Shelf risers to double up plates and mugs
- Stackable or tiered racks for tins
- Over-door or inside-door storage
- Hooks under shelves
5. Make it visible
- Clear containers for dry food
- Labels on the front
- Pull-out drawers for deep cupboards
- Turntables for corners
6. Free the worktop
- Only keep daily-use items out
- Wall rail or magnetic knife strip
- Slim trolley for a gap
- Dish rack that folds away
7. Keep it working
- Put things back in the same place
- Quick tidy once a week
- One in, one out for gadgets
